WEIMA at LIGNA make a stand

30th May to 3rd June exhibitors and trade visitors from around the world will converge on Hannover to take advantage of LIGNA2011, an exhibition to include unmatched coverage of sectors and technologies to the wood industry.

As part of their 25th birthday celebrations WEIMA, reputedly world leaders in shredding and briquetting technology and experts in size reduction technology will launch at Ligna 2011 as the ideal platform to showcase a very much improved mid-range series of wood shredders, “The Classic Series”. 25 years of successfully designing, manufacturing and supplying robust, reliable, low maintenance shredding and briquetting technology worldwide.

This single shaft shredder series is showcased with a bigger rotor shaft for added stability, including the patented “V” rotor and stronger “K” bearings, all as standard. The now well known space hopper with log spacer, a more robust pusher, special ram combs and new impulse control resulting in a greater pusher speed are also included in the improved package. Stored Programme Control (SPS) is available as a factory option providing fully automatic operation. These are just a few of the improvements to these ruggedly constructed, high performance shredders renowned for their long service life, even in outdoor operations.

A double up of knives (WL 6 42 instead of previously 21), and the 22 Kw drive option can be ordered for both the WL 6 and WL 8 to include hydrodynamic starter clutch – a noticeable improvement in running costs.

WEIMA “The Classic Series” already an industry proven benchmark mid-range shredder comprises WL4, WL6 and WL 8. Collectively the numerous improvements and refinements bring improved material feed, greater stability, proven reliability, economical operation and an unsurpassed performance to price ratio.

“The Classic Series” will attract more than a passing glance at LIGNA 2011.
